Sanjay Chandra
Sanjay Chandra is a strategic leader with over thirty years of experience at the intersection of sustainability, resilience, and clean energy. A professional engineer, he has held senior roles across federal agencies, global consultancies, and entrepreneurial ventures, translating complex strategies into measurable results. As Principal Advisor for Resilience at FEMA, Sanjay guided national resilience initiatives, advising leadership on strategy, governance, and performance management.
His prior work includes directing the island-wide Power System Resilience Plan for Puerto Rico’s energy sector and leading global clean energy strategy at Boeing and ICF, including management of USAID’s $3.5 million Scaling Up Renewable Energy program. As co-founder of GreenBrilliance, he established solar manufacturing and installation operations internationally, demonstrating both technical and business acumen. Sanjay holds an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University, an MS in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a BS in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
